ReadyToWork (RTW) is seeking a qualified and experienced Certified Pharmacy Technician Trainer to lead a cohort of trainees through a structured, in-person training program. The goal is to provide high-quality instruction to prepare trainees for the Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification, equipping them with the skills needed for success in the field.
Scope of Work
The selected trainer will deliver comprehensive Certified Pharmacy Technician training to a cohort of participants. Classes will be held twice a week during the day. The cohort will include trainees from diverse backgrounds and the instruction should be tailored to accommodate varying skill levels. The program will emphasize theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills necessary for passing the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) exam and excelling in real-world pharmacy settings.
Service-Level Agreements (Trainer)
· Deliver curriculum aligned with the standards of the PTCB exam.
· Provide engaging and interactive instruction twice weekly in person, adhering to the course schedule.
· Facilitate hands-on training and demonstrations to reinforce theoretical knowledge.
· Assess participants’ progress and provide feedback to ensure they meet learning objectives.
· Prepare trainees for the PTCB certification exam by administering practice tests and offering exam strategies.
· Report on the progress of the cohort to RTW program management regularly.
· Adapt teaching methods to support learners with different levels of proficiency and learning styles.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
· Hold an active Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification.
· A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, with experience in training or instruction preferred.
· Familiarity with the PTCB exam requirements and current pharmacy technician practices.
· Strong communication skills and the ability to engage learners from diverse backgrounds.
· Experience with adult education and/or workforce development programs is a plus.
Deliverables
1. Completion of instructional sessions for the cohort twice per week.
2. Weekly progress reports submitted to RTW program management.
3. Final assessment of participants’ readiness for the PTCB certification exam.
4. Certificate of completion or equivalent credential for successful trainees.
